I,me,myself

Its a struggle with my inner-self whether to try harder or just to give up and lead a carefree life.

Its a debate with myself whether to seek for a normal life or a not-so-normal life, but, what is a normal life anyway?

People say,' don't be the norm', but the hesitation lies within the question of 'what is the norm' for me. The norm-- white collar working in the office everday, shopkeeper trying to earn his or her living by selling merchandise in the mall, scientists trying to create new technology with their ingenuity. It is a norm for those in their respective field, unless if you are some mad scientist who created some really great invention, for example-teleportation technology, you are considered a norm even though you may be prestigious in your field or renowned for some achievements. Albert Einstein is a good example of someone who is not the norm, cause he really is somebody who is really different than the others. In what way? His intelligent? U be the judge.

I don't really know what is the norm and what is the opposite of norm, what i really care is how i live my life. I want serenity, but yet i have wild intention for some adventuruos and challenging life. I am still not prepared for the latter, but even the former i am not having it now, as my life now is more to the stressful way.Why stressful? Cause my study isn't good? Cause i am not excellent in thinking? Or cause i have yet to improve myself?

It has been a nuisance for me when i thought of how bad i am when compared with those who are better than me. However, i do think that it is how you grow through out the process.
Different people have different thoughts. For me, i am satisfied as long as i see improvement in myself. And so, i am trying now, not too hard yet not too little, jussssttt NICE....

Water

Water is one of the most abundant element in our planet; in fact, almost 75% of Earth consist of water. But do you know how useful is it to us? Not just to drink, cook or wash, it produces incessant energy to us - including electricity or fuel for machines to work.

As everyone knows, each water molecule consists of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom (H2o). We've even known a simple method to separate them - electrolysis. By simply using electricity, the hydrogen atom and oxygen atom can be divided, forming two different gases. So, what actually are the advantages that we get from this device?

Back then in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC), I was inspired by my chemistry lecturer (Mr. Chiang) to dig up more information regarding water as car fuel. "Anyone who works in the fuel companies or has got anything to do with fuel, especially water in the future would definitely make BIG money," these were the words by him which still play in my mind.

However, it was not only the monetory concerns that seized my zeal into this issue. I actually do support inventions and innovations which are environmental friendly. Imagine the world nowadays with all automobiles running just on water? Definitely greenhouse effects and air pollutions would dwindle into a lower rate. It would be oxygen emitted from the exhaust instead of carbon dioxides! People nowdays are searching assiduously for more petroleum sites as this fossil fuel is depleting soon. We would be able to save millions and millions of dollars spent on sophisticated digging machines! We would not have to go through so much hassles digging kilometres underground or undersea just to appease people's needs for gasoline as car fuel. Not just big companies and governments of countries, even the local citizens could benefit mnuch from this. People can actually fill their car tank anywhere they want with lower cost! Nowadays, in Malaysia, cost of fuel per litre is abut RM1.80; but, how much does it cost for water per litre? Worse to worst if I get it from a vending machine by the streets is just 20 cents maybe? GOSH! A ratio of 9 : 1! However, just make sure a bottle of water is always at the back seat of your car in casae of emergencies. Haha. Moreover, water was also said to be 6 times more powerful than gasoline if used as car fuel. Just imagine... how much can water benefit us - as times passes, even more and more inventions would be designed by using water.

2 wisdom tooth gone

WeeeeeEE! Guess wat are those? =)
They're my wisdom teeth! Had them taken out in a surgery last saturday morning. Many people might be asking why did i have to go through all the pain and hassles just for these two damn bloody teeth? Well, actually, you don't have to take it out if they're growing perfectly fine and in order, but mine was sadly growing towards their neighbouring teeth. =(

First I fell down from stairs 2 years ago and had 10 broken teeth. Then, I had to go through regular dental appointments almost every week for 2 bloody years to get 6 teeth fixed. Then, I had to extrct 4 of the broken ones through SURGERY coz they're like shattered even within my gums. Wtfzzzz.....after extracting I had to put 4 implants to cover up the holes. And now? wisdom teeth? zzzzzzz..

You guys can actually imagine what a regular customer I am to dental clinics. x) And almost every visit I had to get big, nice injectionsssss =D Ahhahahaaa.. Now I'm actually suffering from the pain I have from the stitiches in my mouth. Yeap! The doctor actually had to cut through my gums to take these 2 bloody teeth out =) LiFE'S GOOD! =D =D =D

Yes, I can!

(@___________________@)

It has been awhile since last posted anything on this blog, were feeling very lazy to post anything on it. Now, i dont even know what to name this post or more importantly what to write in this post. 2nd SAT, how did i feel? how was it?
Nah, lets skip that.

So, penguin 01 went for extraction of his wisdom teeth while at the same time i was still sleeping soundly on my bed yesterday. Well, had few DOTA games the day before it. It was tiring and i felt really wasted much time which i can fully utilize for my study. Therefore, i hereby declared that i will not touch my fingers on DOTA anymore, i mean not so often, well, maybe like once a week?XD

Yesterday night, i went out with my friends and it was really 'one of the crazy experiences'- 4 people squeezed in the small luggage comparment of an ANGSA(Did i spell it correctly??) while we were on our journey to a local Cafe. The fun, some refer as stupid or dangerous part, was when my friend opened the boot while we are on the road!!
Well, the good thing is we didn't do that quite often, just twice, haha, nyway, it wasn't wide opened, but surely enough for us to got rolled out of the moving car onto the road.....=.=
It was quite childish but fun, idiotic but exciting.XD

This situation is quite similar to SAT test, the CR section. Sometimes, we tend to make mistakes, wrong options. When we looked back, we discovered it was a careless, unintentional or stupid choice of answer, while when we are doing it, we don't realize it....
I still couldn't do well in the section, but i think this had set off a good start for me, i guess i could say, my engine is started, just that i need appropriate fuel ( knowledge) for my engine to run smoothly and consequently, i can go further, farther than what i am doing now.
34 days to SAT, here i come!!!!
( i guess i am back to SAT topic....)

CR Review

Penguin 1 here.

Ahhaa...its 12.15am now (05/09/09) just came back from Fireball Sports Cafe coz all the pool tables were full. So, my friend and I juz got there to smell some cigarette smokes, look at some pool balls den off we go. Sad! x)

Well, about my CR practice test recently, it was.. err.. rather dissappointing. =) Guess how much i got? Err.. maybe... 800.. less 100..less 100..less 100..less 100..add 40 =D=D=D.. TADAAAA!! Calculate the score yourself! Practice for SAT Maths x). Haha.. Firstly, when i reach the second part out of three, I was already starting to get a headache. Then at the third, brain juice all squeezed out! Hahaaa... maybe coz i dun have enuf juice in it or wad i'm not so sure.. but I wonder when will I only get at least a 600? Haha.. actually I'm not aiming very high for my CR. I'll be happy enough to get at least a 650 x). Then, the passages! Oh mi GOSHHH...zzzzz...I just.. dun have the push in me to read them and there'll all just making me crazy =). BEING CRAZY is good for health!.... x) Haha.. then as usual the vocabulary are hard like crap. Maybe harder than crap x). Haha..Hence, I am still a weakling in CR =) I've even been doing the SAT daily questions by Collegeboard. So far i only have (if i'm not mistaken) 3/12? =) Ahhhahahahaaa.. gg-fied x)

Okie! GTG! In the morning I'll be extracting both my wisdom teeth at the bottom. Maybe then I wont be less wise and even dumber @@. CIAOZZZZ! =D

Waazzzzuppp! =D

Wazzzzup peopleee =D..
Around the evening today, I was back from futsal with friends; but sadly, no one was at home at that time and I had no key to enter my house. Haha. So what did i do? I spent the first 15 minutes looking around my house in case of any keys nearby, so maybe i could get something long to get it to me, the next 15 minutes bathing my dirty dog, and another 1 hour contemplating my life.

When I was in form 2, I remember how addicted I was towards games. There was this game of "Dota" from Warcraft III that I played everyday, at least 3 hours daily. @.@. Yeah, you guys can call me a freak.. i don't mind. Well, one of the reasons, was that I couldnt stand my friends when they intimidate me and "bully" me virtually when I lose. Haha. GOSH it sounded really childish! But what I realised from me is that, the way my friends looked down at me, criticised me, called me all sorts of names boosted my spirit to overcome them someday and to prove to them my abilities. From that moment onwards, I played without them with strangers all over the nation online, trying to improve myself and adapt to the game. Time passed with me studying in the morning and games in the evening. I even had to play without my parents knowing; if they know, I'll be in hot soup! x). Haha.. I still remember how I quickly shut down my computer when i hear sounds of the house gate being opened. x)

However, this post is not mainly about me and my games. It is the quality I possess which I think would determine how I shape myself. Maybe in SAT or TOEFL or academicly, I think I should keep up my determination to prove to other people that I am a capable person. DO NOT EVER LOOK DOWN ON ME! I may be dumb or less smart in certain things, but do keep in mind that I never stop improving myself; and maybe with sacarsm and criticism I would be able to work better. =) peace! ahhaahaha...

PENGUIN 2 reporting in!

SAT- a rather difficult to score test, is harder than I expected it would be.

After suffering from the post symptom of getting low marks in the sat test that day (confident level dropped to 0), I found out that actually I learnt a lot throughout that process. I learnt that the sentence completion part needs more vocabulary knowledge, therefore, I will try to increase my vocab. In fact, after started doing the vocab assignment given by Mr Yu Jin, I think that I have known more English words that I never knew before. Besides that, cause of the critical reading training, I now can read faster than ever, though still very slow, but never mind, I shall improve…

I guess the Toefl critical reading is just a beginning and sat critical reading part is the serious thing. I now realize that how far I must go or how hard I must work to hv gud result of the sat test. I am no more taking it lightly, I think I will work harder now….hmmm….and maybe play less, especially DOTA and Left4Dead (maybe just few hours per day?) haha.

In conclusion, I realize that my English command has been better since I joined this course. It is a gud sign that I am actually improving, even though if compared to others, I am really weak?? But, who cares? U? He? She? JPA? Nah, I dun care, what I care is improving myself.

p/s: to those who got high marks in SAT test : YOU BUGGERS!!! Ehem, I mean u r cute ( dun understand? Check on the Cambridge dictionary, New vocab.)

F*** the SAT!!

SAT...what a test, sentence completion can really go suck co*k.

Both penguins got the result ' need more work', how sad @@..

Penguin 1 mainly had problems in Sentence Completion and CR. For Sentence Completion, I actually had almost equal amount of wrongs for both single and double blanks. The vocabs =.= really made me squeezed my brain dry. No doubt sometimes the double blanks give more hints because they have semi colons and transitions in between and longer. HAHA. CR! S*CK MAH B%LLS MAN! Seriously, the score I got was super pathetic. x) there were actually people who gave up right before they finished (including me). haha.. well, the passages are like... !&@$#^%!$!!! complicated sentence structure.. and they require a hell of inferencing and critical thinking to answer. I think if i ever have to spend 3 hours non stop doing this i'll get migrain for sure. x) For the grammar part it was comparatively easier to me, maybe because I only have to be more alert and logical? (sometimes even grammar questions can be tricky) KEEP UR EYES OPEN! x) ok in conclusion, I seriously need polishing on this... if not.... @@ "Hai lat".. x) x) x) I WANNA SCOREEEEEEEEEeeeeee!~ =D

Penguin 2 thinks that the test itself is easy- it is just a matter of carving the answer A to E on an eraser and throw out, the one facing up will be the answer. No kidding, the test is sooooooo NOT EASY, especially the sentence completion. The words given were not at my level of understanding. Most of them, i never seen before. (I really need to brush up my vocab... T.T). Some question i did based on hunch or based on the 'sixth sense' rather than using inferencing techniques, because even if i used all the techniques taught, sometimes, i still couldn't get the answer correct, cause i just simply don't know what the answers meant. Time is also another factor. I forced myself to finish it on time, however, often found myself unable to do so. When the time gonna ends, i got panic and chose answers without proper thinking. Therefore, i think time control is essentially important. About the grammer part, i wasn't able to do well, maybe my grammer is bad?
CR section is the most critical among all. oH mY POTATO! The passages are hard to be fully understood and the questions are rather confusing.
This applies to everyone, don't EVER sit under an aircond or in a cold area, I was freezing while doing the test....( MJB, u wan me die MEH?!! )
